Lesson 4 : The Adopt a Bot Project (Sharing)

Designer Brian Marshall showed great interest in building things during his childhood. At that time, building toys like Legos and Lincoln Logs occupied most of his spare time. As time goes by, he wasn’t satisfied with the simple toy game any more and began searching for new and unusual materials to allow his imagination run wild. Till one day, a unique lamp in a movie inspired him, and thus destined his art.

Marshall then began using found objects to assemble little lovely robots. Anything he found, even broken clocks, cameras, oil cans and cutlery, makes contribution to his creations. All the little robots are residing in Marshall’s robot orphanage for his adopt-a-bot project.

I still remembered when I am small. I use to make my own toy with paper or other stuffs too. But not as nice as Brian Marshall's product. DIY something is fun and it can train our brain to be more creative in solving problems. I had 1 assignment in alpha year which had to use recycle things to produce a lamp.

It's not something very impressive, but I having fun in the process of making it.
